Creative Visionary's Statement
​
Many of us have lost relationship with our homelands and natural environments. With this loss, we tend to view Mother Earth and her blessings as “other,” which disconnects us from all living entities, even each other. With this disconnect, we begin our unconscious extraction, distant removal, and linger in displaced illness and spiritual emptiness.
Through my creative vision, I formulate spaces where interconnectedness and interdependence with nature’s ecosystems can be felt, remembered, and reimagined. Layering mixed media and intriguing inquiry, I expose thought and emotion that contributes to transcendent experience. Peering through strata, dispassionate illusions of separation are dismantled, affliction relieved as relationship with the environment is restored.
Fostering the sense of oneness and absolute truth, I am the creative visionary who is unveiling the new logic that is arising; the empathetic caregiver who reciprocates harmony in shaping the future for all to know more clearly the language of the heart —cooperative congruence of people, planet and universe.

Visionary Project
​
Layers of Obscurity’s 11 +1
Tammy created this intricate project as a visionary method to bridge the gap between the health of people and the health of the planet. Inviting the observer to feel, remember and reimagine their interconnectedness and interdependence with Mother Earth, Tammy exposes to view the relationship of human and environmental systems. Although there are only eleven human systems scientifically recognized, Tammy certainly provides opportunity in this disconnect by adding the spiritual system, the essential +1.

Each of the twelve systems consist of three layers, which entice the observer to explore thought and emotion that may obscure clarity in their intersectionality with Mother Earth. The first layer reveals transparency by starting with a thought provoking question and ending in inquiry. Whether hearing the spoken word, or reading them on their own, the observer has the opportunity to not only sense the vibration, but to resonate through the next layers and succumb to luminous remembrance.
The second and third layers express relational human and natural systems on glass and/or glassine paper. Various paints, pens and inks formulate the integrated framework of the coupled systems. Stratified in a single reciprocally connected unit, the whole brings to the observer’s attention that even with the shadow upon it, clarity is there nonetheless; it is achievable, but not necessarily obvious.
